The Opening Ceremony will take place in the Plenary Hall of ExCeL London. After an enjoyable hour with music as well as an official opening of the Congress, we will make our way to another area of the venue where fabulous food will be served together with good company and dancing. The theme of the
evening will be a celebration of British music and culture, including favourites from the “Last Night of
the Proms” and "the Bootleg Beatles". Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and mingle with your
friends!

JMA Programme

JMA Poster Session

The JMA Poster Session this year will take place in N6-N7 on Saturday afternoon with typical English
tea and scones. About 200 posters will be presented.


JMA Evening
Date: 8 June
Time: 19.30 – 23.30
Price: Included in the registration fee for Junior Members.
Pre-registration required

EAACI Junior Members are invited to join their colleagues on a boat trip along the Thames on
Tuesday evening. Hot snacks and drinks will be provided, and there will be a disco on the lower
deck. Don’t miss it! The boat leaves from the Canary Wharf Pier. Please visit the social events desk for information about public transport and timings.

London Eye and Westminster Abbey
Date: 7, 8 June

A flight on the London Eye is a breathtaking experience as you can see up to 40 kilometers in all directions of London’s skyline. As a result of this, it has become one of the most spectacular and popular attractions in the World, drawing visitors from far and wide. The tour will then continue by foot onto Westminster Abbey for a guided tour through the traditional place of coronation and burial site of English monarchs.
This tour includes coach transport to and from ExCeL, an English speaking guide, a flight on the London Eye and a tour of Westminster Abbey.





Afternoon Tea at Harrods

Nothing could be more British than afternoon tea in London with tea in a pot, scones with cream and jam, finger sandwiches and delicious cakes. Since Edwardian times, the Georgian Restaurant at Harrods has been one of the most refined places in London to take afternoon tea. Afternoon Tea at Harrods includes a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and tea of your choice. You then of course have the opportunity to explore the world’s most famous luxury department store.
